At the pump
Fueling up
Everyone is looking to save money at the pump with the cost of commuting, running errands or vacationing rising and falling and rising again.
Fuel grade - Most cars recommend the use of regular octane fuel so buying a high-octane gasoline might not improve your car's performance unless your owner's manual requires it. It will just add to your fuel cost. If you are curious buy a tankful when it is less expensive than normal and track you mileage.
Check your gas cap - Gas caps that are damaged, loose or missing can cause gallons of gas to vaporize.
Thorough check - Adding fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank every 5,000 miles will ensure that the injectors properly atomize the fuel for consistent combustion and efficiency.
