Love those fruits and vegetables
Everyone needs to eat a smart portion every day
"Fruits and vegetables contain essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that
may help protect you from chronic diseases. Compared with people who consume a diet with only small amounts of fruits and vegetables, those who eat more generous amounts as part of a healthful diet are likely to have reduced risk of chronic diseases, including stroke and perhaps other cardiovascular diseases, and certain cancers."
- Center for Disease Control
Buy fruits and vegetables to eat them - Buy only the vegetables you intend to eat in the next couple of days. Keeping vegetables in long-term storage reduces their nutrients and taste.
Eat seasonally and as locally as possible - Most often, the closer you are to the product being grown, the fresher and better tasting it will be.
Eating vegetable - Wash and prepare vegetables to make them easy to eat raw. When possible leave the peel on for more nutrients and fiber.
