Water as good nutrition
Drink when you are thirsty
The amount of water you need each day depends on your health, your activity and where you live. Eight 8 oz. glasses of water has been the standard recommended amount for an average person for good health. But there is no set formula. If you exercise often you may need more water, more often. If you live in an arid regional you will also need more water, more often.
Here are some great ways to get the water you need each day:
- Drink a glass of water when you wake up in the morning - You have been without water for 6-8 hours and your body will appreciate it.
- Drink liquids with each meal and glasses of water in between meals.
- Use a
pitcher filter system to filter unwanted particles and debris - It will take out some of the minerals however and the water will taste "softer".
- Try drinking tap water with flavoring like lemon, lime, cherry, etc.
- When you exercise drink water before, during and after and try to anticipate thirst so you actually drink "before" you are thirsty.
Bottled water vs. tap water - Bottled water typically costs 240 to 10,000 times more than water that comes out of your faucet
